Knight, Jr., and John Bell became a member of the Knight, Thompson & Turner firm in Tampa.
After the World War II in 1946 a former professor of law William A. McRae, Jr., Holland & Bevis. The firm was renamed into Holland, Bevis & McRae. This year Peter O. Knight, Sr., died and a new member, John Arthur Jones became a partner of the firm, wich name was changed to Knight, Bell & Jones.
From 1950 till 1966 many lawyers were joined to Knight, Bell & Jones and Holland, Bevis & McRae companies. In the end there were two law firms: Knight, Jones, Whitaker & Germany law firm and Holland, Bevis, Smith, Kibber & Hall. In the 1968 they were combined to Holland & Knight. New founded Holland & Knight low company become the largest law company in Florida.
In the 1971 Spessard Holland died unexpectidly. 1980 Holland & Knight got two new offices in Fort Landerdal and Coral Gables. Starting from this year. That was a great beginning of the carrier. Holland & Knight firm law continued getting new offices in different states and even in different countries. 1997 January 1, Holland & Knight law company was registered as limited liability partnership. The firm name looked so – Holland & Knight LLP. April 2000 Holland & Knight law firm was awarded be United Way of America (UWA) for its corporate drawing in. No other firm had this honor before.
